Crop a photo to any shape
Cut a photo to any shape — square, 4:3 or passport size — at full quality. Stays on your device.

The phone probably ran out of memory. Lighter settings are now on for this tab, so try again — or split a big PDF into parts first.

JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC up to 50 MB · The photo never leaves your device.
How it works
Drop a photo or take one with your phone's camera. A frame appears on it: drag it over the part you want to keep and drag its corner to make it bigger or smaller. Pick a shape — Free, Square, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 or Passport — and the frame keeps that shape while you move it. The cropped photo is ready straight away; press Download to save it with "-cropped" added to the name. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and there is no limit.
Full quality
The preview you frame on is small so it stays fast on a phone, but the crop itself is cut from your original photo at its full resolution. JPG, HEIC and WebP photos are saved as a sharp JPG; PNG pictures stay PNG and keep any transparent background. Photos taken on a phone are turned the right way up first, and the location data stored inside them is not copied into the cropped file.
Which shape when
- Square for profile pictures — WhatsApp, Instagram and most apps show a square or circle.
- 4:3 and 3:4 for normal photos and documents, sideways or upright.
- 16:9 for screens, YouTube thumbnails and presentation slides.
- Passport (35 × 45 mm) for Indian passport and most visa photos. The crop is also saved at 413 × 531 pixels, the right size to print at 35 × 45 mm.
- Free for anything else — cut out a signature, a receipt from a photo of a desk, or one face from a group photo.
For exam and job forms
Forms usually want an exact size in pixels and a file size in KB, not just a shape. Crop here to choose the part of the photo, then use Compress & Resize Image to hit the exact pixels and KB. For exam photos with a white background and face checks, the Exam Photo Maker does it all in one step.
Good companions
To remove the background behind a person, use Remove Background. To change a HEIC or WebP photo to JPG without cropping, use Convert Image.
Privacy
Your photo is cropped on your own device. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
Questions people ask
How do I crop a photo to a square?
Drop the photo, choose Square, drag the frame over the part you want and press Download. The frame always stays square while you move or resize it.
Does cropping reduce the quality?
No. The crop is cut from your original photo at full resolution and saved as a high-quality JPG, or as PNG if the original was PNG.
What size is a passport photo?
Indian passport photos are 35 × 45 mm. Choose Passport and the crop is saved at 413 × 531 pixels, which prints at exactly that size.
Can I crop a photo for an exam form?
Yes — crop here, then use Compress & Resize Image for the exact pixels and KB the form asks for, or the Exam Photo Maker for everything at once.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is cropped in your browser on your own device, so it never leaves it.
