Flatten a PDF — make filled forms permanent
Lock filled forms and comments into the page so nobody can change them. Stays on your device.

The phone probably ran out of memory. Lighter settings are now on for this tab, so try again — or split a big PDF into parts first.

How it works
Drop the PDF and it is flattened straight away. Every form field you filled in, and every comment, highlight, stamp or drawing on the pages, becomes a permanent part of the page. A preview shows the first page; press Download to save the copy with "-flattened" added to the name. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and there is no limit.
Why flatten a filled form
A filled PDF form is still a form: the boxes can be changed by anyone who opens it, and some portals, phone viewers and printers show the boxes empty because they ignore form fields altogether. That is how an application sent with every box filled can arrive looking blank. Flattening draws the answers into the page itself, exactly where they appear, so every viewer, printer and upload portal sees the same thing and nobody can quietly edit a value.
Comments, highlights and stamps
Notes and marks added in a PDF reader live on a separate layer too. They can be hidden, deleted or lost when the file is opened in another app. Flattening keeps them as they look now. Links are left working, because they draw nothing and are still useful. A comment that has no drawn look of its own — rare — is left as it was, and the result tells you.
What people flatten
Filled bank and KYC forms before emailing them. Government and college application forms before uploading. Signed agreements with typed names and dates. Teachers' marked-up answer sheets and reviewed reports, so the comments stay visible. Forms that show up blank on a phone.
Good to know
Flattening can't be undone in the new copy — keep the original if you may need to edit it again. Text typed into the fields stays real text, so the flattened file can still be searched. To fill a form first, use Edit & Fill PDF, which can also flatten when you download. To add a signature, use Sign PDF.
Privacy
Your form is flattened on your own device. The PDF and everything typed into it are never sent to us or anyone else.
Questions people ask
What does flattening a PDF mean?
It turns form fields, comments and stamps into a normal part of the page. They look exactly the same, but can no longer be edited, hidden or lost.
Why does my filled form look empty on another phone?
Some viewers and portals ignore form fields and show only the page underneath. Flatten the PDF and the answers become part of the page, so every viewer shows them.
Can I edit the form after flattening?
Not in the flattened copy. Keep the original file if you may need to change an answer, and flatten again afterwards.
Do links still work?
Yes. Links draw nothing on the page, so they are kept as they are and keep working.
Is my form uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device, so the form and your answers never leave it.
