How to compress

Under 100 KB, and still readable

100 KB is a hard target for a PDF — it is usually demanded for a single-page document: a signed form, a declaration, a category certificate, one scanned page. Drop the PDF above with the 100 KB chip already selected; we compress it on your device and show you page one at full size, so you can confirm it is readable before you download.

How we squeeze a PDF this far

To hit a strict limit we redraw each page as a compact image, choosing the highest sharpness that keeps the whole file inside 100 KB. For one or two pages, that leaves plenty of detail. Text in the result is no longer selectable — portals do not check that — but it stays legible, and that is the line we will not cross: if 100 KB is impossible without making a page unreadable, we say so and hand you the smallest readable file instead of a ruined one.

The maths of pages and kilobytes

A 100 KB budget spread over ten pages is 10 KB per page, which is not enough for scanned text. If your document is long, ask yourself whether the portal really wants the whole thing in one upload; many accept 200 KB or 500 KB for longer files, or want only the relevant page. Compressing the right single page to 100 KB beats compressing twenty pages into mush.

Scans, statements, certificates

Scanned pages compress dramatically — a 2 MB single-page scan typically lands under 100 KB and looks almost unchanged. Password-protected PDFs, such as bank statements, work too: enter the password when asked, and the output is saved without it, on your device only.

Nothing leaves your browser

The document is processed entirely on your phone or computer. Certificates, statements and ID documents are exactly the files you should not be uploading to random converter sites, and here you never do.

Photos and signatures for the same form

Forms that cap PDFs at 100 KB usually also want a photo and signature at their own sizes. The exam photo maker and signature maker handle those, and the upload checker confirms the lot before you submit.

Questions people ask

Can every PDF reach 100 KB?

No — a long document cannot fit 100 KB and stay readable. We get you as close as readability allows, tell you plainly when the target is impossible, and give you the smallest readable file.

Why is text not selectable in the result?

Hitting a hard limit means redrawing pages as images, which have no live text. Upload portals don’t check selectability. Use "Keep text selectable" on the main compressor if you need it kept.

Does a password-protected PDF work?

Yes. Enter the password when asked; the compressed copy is saved without it. The password never leaves your device.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The whole compression runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or stored anywhere.
