How it works
Drop the PDF. If it is a fillable form, its fields are listed straight away — type your answers, tick the boxes, pick from the lists. On any page you can also add a line of text, a tick or a white box and drag it exactly where it belongs. The edited copy builds itself as you go; press Download and it is saved on your phone or computer with "-edited" added to the name. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and there is no daily limit.
Fillable forms
Many official PDFs — bank account opening forms, insurance claims, university and scholarship forms, HR declarations — come with form fields built in. We list every field with the page it is on, so you fill the form in a tidy list instead of pinching and zooming on a phone. Text boxes, tick boxes, radio choices, dropdowns and lists all work.
By default the answers are locked into the page when you download. A portal, a printer or the person who receives the file then sees exactly what you typed, and nobody can change it in a PDF reader. Untick the option if the receiver needs to keep editing the form.
Forms without fields
Most PDFs that reach you on WhatsApp or by email are just pictures of a form with lines to write on. For those, add text: tap Add text, type, and drag the words onto the line. The corner handle makes the text bigger or smaller. Add tick puts a neat tick in any box. Pages that are turned sideways are handled — what you place is upright, where you put it.
Whiteout, honestly
Add white box covers a mistake or an old date so you can type over it. It hides the words on screen and on paper, but the covered words are still inside the file, as with correction tape on a photocopy. If something must be removed for good — an account number, an Aadhaar number — use Redact instead.
Language
In this version text is typed in English letters, which is what most forms ask for. Hindi typing needs a Hindi font inside the PDF and is coming in a later version; the tool says so instead of printing boxes.
Good companions
Need to sign it too? Sign PDF. A portal with a size cap? Compress PDF. If the PDF has a password, Unlock PDF removes it first — a locked file cannot be changed.
Privacy
Your form and everything you type stay in your browser. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
Questions people ask
How do I fill a PDF form on my phone?
Open this page in Chrome or Safari and drop the form. If it has form fields, they appear as a list to fill in. If it doesn't, tap Add text and drag your words onto each line. Then press Download.
Can I type on a PDF that has no form fields?
Yes. Add text puts a line of your words anywhere on any page, and you can drag and resize it. Add tick and Add white box work the same way.
Does whiteout delete the text underneath?
No. A white box hides the words when you look at or print the page, but they are still inside the file. To remove words for good, use Redact, which rebuilds the page without them.
Can I write in Hindi?
Not yet. This version types English letters, which most forms ask for. Hindi typing needs a Hindi font embedded in the PDF and is planned for a later version.
Will the receiver be able to change my answers?
Not if you keep "Lock the answers into the page" ticked, which is the default. The answers become part of the page, like printed text. Untick it if they need to keep editing the form.
