Add a header and footer to a PDF
Put a name, a title, the date or page numbers at the top or bottom of every PDF page. Stays on your device.
Your last job here stopped before it finished
The phone probably ran out of memory. Lighter settings are now on for this tab, so try again — or split a big PDF into parts first.

PDF up to 200 MB · The file never leaves your device.
How it works
Drop the PDF and type what should appear at the top (the header) or the bottom (the footer) of each page. There are six boxes — left, middle and right, at the top and at the bottom — so your name can sit on the left and the date on the right. A preview of a real page of the result updates as you type. Press Download and the copy is saved with "-header-footer" added to its name. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and there is no daily limit.
Page numbers inside your text
Type {page} where the page number should go and {total} for the number of pages. "Page {page} of {total}" becomes "Page 3 of 12" on the third page of a twelve-page file, and you can mix them with words: "Ramesh Kumar — {page}/{total}". The footer starts with exactly that line, so a numbered copy is one tap away.
When people use it
- Assignments and project reports: the student's name and roll number on every page, the subject in the middle.
- Office documents: "Confidential" in the footer and the company name in the header.
- Court, tender and RTI papers: a file or case number on every sheet, so loose pages find their way back.
- Theses: the title at the top, page numbers at the bottom, the cover page left clean.
Choose the pages
Add the header and footer to every page, to every page except the first (for a cover), or only to the pages you list, like "2-10, 12".
Size and colour
Small, medium or large text, in black or grey. Long text shrinks to fit its part of the line, so left, middle and right never run into each other.
Hindi and other scripts
Type a header in Hindi if you like — "रमेश कुमार, कक्षा 12". English is written into the page as real text; Hindi and other scripts are added as a sharp picture of your words, so they look right in every PDF reader, even one without Hindi fonts. The page-number words are filled in only in boxes written in English letters.
What ends up in the file
The header and footer become part of each page — not comments or form fields that a viewer can hide. The original text stays selectable and searchable, sideways pages get the words upright as you see them, and nothing else in the file changes. We never add a watermark of our own.

Questions people ask
How do I add my name and roll number to every page of a PDF?
Drop the PDF, type your name in the Top left box and your roll number in Top right, then download. Every page gets both, and the file never leaves your phone.
Can I put page numbers in the footer along with other text?
Yes. Type {page} for the page number and {total} for the page count, for example "Confidential — Page {page} of {total}". Each page gets its own number.
Can I leave the cover page without a header?
Yes. Choose "All except the first page", or pick "Only these pages" and list the ones you want, such as 2-20.
Will the header cover my text?
Headers and footers sit in the page margins, about 10 mm from the edge. If your document already prints that close to the edge, choose the Small size or move the words to another box.
Do you add your own watermark or logo?
Never. The only words added are the ones you type. There is no sign-up and no limit on how many files you change.
