Resize PDF pages to A4, Letter or Legal

How it works

Drop the PDF and every page is put on A4 paper straight away, with its content scaled to fit and centred. Want Letter or Legal instead, or every page upright? Change the setting and the file is rebuilt in a moment. A preview shows the first page of the result; press Download to save it with the paper size added to the name. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and there is no page limit.

Why page size matters

PDFs come in every size. A scan from a phone app is often an odd shape, a document from the US is on Letter paper, and a receipt can be a long narrow strip. Many portals, offices and printers in India expect A4. Printing an odd-sized PDF can cut off the edges or shrink it into a corner, and some upload forms reject pages that are not A4. Resizing puts every page on the same paper so it prints and uploads cleanly.

What happens to the content

Each page's content is scaled — up or down — until it fits the new paper, keeping its shape, and placed in the middle. Nothing is stretched or cropped. Text stays real text, so you can still search and copy it, and links and fillable form fields move with the content and keep working. Pages that already are the chosen size are left exactly as they were.

The options

• Paper size: A4 (used across India), Letter or Legal (common in US documents).
• Orientation: keep each page the way it is, so wide pages stay sideways, or make every page upright or every page sideways.
• White margin: leaves half an inch of white around the content, useful when a printer cuts off the edges.

When to use something else

If you want to cut away margins rather than change the paper, use Crop PDF. To make the file smaller in KB or MB, use Compress PDF. To turn pages that are sideways or upside down, use Organize PDF.

Privacy

Your PDF is rebuilt on your own device. It is never sent to us or anyone else, so it is safe to use with bank statements, certificates and ID documents.
