What IBPS asks for
IBPS application forms ask for a recent colour photograph in JPG format, 200 × 230 pixels, with a file size of 20–50 KB. The background should be plain and light — white is the safest choice. The same rules are commonly used across IBPS PO, Clerk and SO forms, and by several other bank exams, but they can change between notifications, so always read the notification for your exam before you upload.
How to make your photo here
- Choose a recent photo from your gallery, or take one with the camera. If you use the camera, stand in front of a plain wall with light falling on your face, and keep your face inside the oval.
- We find your face and crop the photo so that your face is in the middle at a suitable size. You can drag the crop box or pinch to adjust it.
- We make the background white. If your photo already has a clean background, you can turn this off with Keep original background.
- We resize the photo to exactly 200 × 230 pixels and compress it to 20–50 KB.
- The spec check shows every rule with a tick or a cross. When everything is green, tap Download. The file is saved as photo.jpg.
Common reasons IBPS photos get rejected
- Wrong file size. A phone photo is usually 2–5 MB; IBPS needs 20–50 KB. Too small is also a problem — some forms reject files under the minimum.
- Wrong pixel size. Uploading a photo with a different size can make the portal stretch it or refuse it.
- Dark or busy background. Bedroom walls, curtains and outdoor scenes are a common cause of rejection.
- Face too small or cut off. Your face should fill a good part of the photo, with the top of your head and your shoulders visible.
- Caps, dark glasses or filters. Avoid them. Normal spectacles are usually fine if there's no glare.
Photo and signature together
The IBPS form also asks for your signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration. You can make the signature here as well, or see all IBPS files in one place.
Already have a photo?
If someone has already made your photo, use the upload checker before you submit. It reads the real size, KB and file type and tells you exactly what to fix.
We are not connected to IBPS. We help you prepare files that match the published rules; you still submit the form yourself on the official website.
Questions people ask
What is the IBPS PO photo size in KB and pixels?
The rules we use are 200 × 230 pixels and 20–50 KB, in JPG format. Please confirm these in the notification for your exam, as IBPS can change them.
Can I use a selfie taken on my phone?
Yes, if it is a clear, front-facing photo in good light. Hold the phone at eye level, face a window or light, and stand in front of a plain wall. We crop it, whiten the background and size it for you.
My photo is under 20 KB. Is that a problem?
It can be, because the form may reject files below the minimum. Our tool keeps the photo inside the 20–50 KB range, adding harmless padding inside the file if needed.
Is this the official IBPS website?
No. We are an independent tool and are not connected to IBPS. We don't submit your form. Always fill the form on the official IBPS website.
